Bio
Claire Fouchereaux is Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of French at Wabash College (Indiana, USA). She holds a Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. Her publications include articles on the representation of France by mainstream rappers in Québec (Études Canadiennes 93) and on the critical perspective of pioneer of African cinemas Paulin S. Vieyra (Black Camera 13.2). From 2024 to 2025, she served as the Coordinator of the Early African Cinemas Lab at Indiana University, a nexus for scholars and the interested public to engage with these foundational years of African cinema through public screenings and events, research presentations and workshops, and digital humanities projects.
